Tweet As NBA free agency approaches, all eyes are on Kawhi. However, there is a man named Jimmy Butler who is commanding some attention too. However, there are still those who think it puts the batter at a disadvantage. Is this a case where analytics has become too dominant? Is the growing number of sideline scuffles caused by alcohol, social media jealousy, or both? Speaking of social media, has the world’s new direction become a center for Fake stories and unneeded jealousy? Do some of the posts fuel anger and want, more than congratulatory remarks? The NBA Awards were given out and Ben Simmons received his much deserved Rookie of the Year honor. This was a night that also seen James Harden win the MVP and Duane Casey win Coach of the year. Tony feels Brad Stevens and LeBron should have taken home the award. Your thoughts……. In an unfortunate event, the New York Yankees took over Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia Eagles style. Tweet The Kawhi rumors are running wild and the Sixers are working up numerous scenarios to be successful. If you could only pick Kawhi or LeBron, who would you take on your team? Speaking of successful, there have been numerous outlets pinning the 1996 Bulls up against 2018 Warriors. Even though the game has changed, the arguments for either side are very interesting. Would the Warriors be able to score at will? Could the Bulls stop them in their tracks? With every bad bullpen showing, the interest meter for Gabe Kapler and the Phillies continues to drop a notch. However, even with this disaster, the Phillies find themselves with the best home record in the National League. Why aren’t the fans coming out to the stadium to see these young players grow? Tweet The Eagles are back on the field and their offense looks to be explosive once again. With the additions of Mike Wallace, Dallas Goedert, a healthy Darren Sproles and a 2ndyear Mack Hollins, could the Eagles exceed last year’s offensive explosion? With every NFL Offseason comes an abundance of contractual oversights and minicamp holdouts. This year the names Mack, Beckham, Donald, Johnson, Thomas, Bell and Jones are headlining the news. Do you agree with their stance? Terrell Owens finally grabbed the accolades he deserved and is being inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. However, he has decided to decline the invitation to the ceremony and celebrate on his own terms. Even though this is a classic T.O. move, is it the right call? The phrase “Tommy John” has become more relevant in MLB over the years and has taken its toll on numerous players. This year is looks like it has hit rookie sensation Shohei Ohtani. Could all these surgeries stem from overuse in youth sports? In regards to MLB, the steroid era continues to come back up into the conversation when players like Robinson Cano and Sterling Marte get suspended year after year. What are your thoughts on players like Bonds and Clemens? Where do you rate their accomplishments? The Sixers have wiped out their Burner Accounts and now are using a shiny new phone in Brett Brown. BC is gone and BB will now be the man making basketball decision on an interim basis. With the Draft and Free Agency ahead, was this the right move? Tweet It’s the NBA Finals and the National Headlines begin with, “Bryan’s Burner Account.” This is a situation that is dragging on and needs to be handled. The draft is about 2 weeks away and precious time is being wasted. Should BC be fired? If so, who are the candidates to take over? It looks as though the Warriors are too much for the Cavs to handle, especially after the Game 1 debacle. Losing track of the score in any game of the NBA Finals is inexcusable. Did this blunder catapult LeBron out of Cleveland? The Phillies offensive woes continue, as well as their shift alignment. Jake Arrieta decided enough is enough and took his thoughts to the reporters. He sounded off on multiple players and the team. For a player who isn’t perfect himself, is this move justified? Whether you are drafted in the First round or the last, you never know how your team will turn out. Over the years, each team had a late round gem or unexpected surprise. Tweet Just when you thought the National Audience was convinced the Sixers were for real, the stance has become tainted. With the recent Burner Account drama with the Colangelo name associated with it, have the Sixers become the laughing stock of the NBA? Will they now become a destination no one wants to visit? Joel Embiid has been dunking in South Philly while Ben Simmons has decided to take a walk on the Hollywood wild side. Should we be worried about the health and psyche of our hometown stars? Even though the Phillies are winning and hovering around 1st Place, their young core has been struggling at the plate. Will they be able to work through the slump? Is it concerning? One of the guys who isn’t slumping is Caesar Hernandez. Could he actually hit the 30/30 plateau this season? Speaking of 30/30, think about all the MLB members who have hit this mark and ones that even hit 40/40; who do you remember? The NFL Preseason Power Rankings are out and the Eagles are number 2. Do you agree? The 49ers at 10? Who else is in question? Speaking of the Eagles, to expect them to ride the same wave of success this year isn’t fair. Even though they will be favored to have a successful season, who is someone you think may have a down year? Should they have traded Nick Foles for #35? Tweet When the Phillies traded Jonathan Papelbon to the Nationals in 2015, did they realize what they were getting in Nick Pivetta? How good has he been and will it continue? Has the art of base stealing been lost in MLB? From Rickey Henderson to Jose Reyes, base stealing has always been synonymous with the game. However, it seems to have lost its appeal over the years. Why is that? Who are your favorite base stealers and what are some of the moments you remember from your era of baseball? The Eagles are still feeling the joy of winning the Super Bowl, but some important decisions need to be made. One of those decisions is the fate of Brandon Graham. Do you resign the Super Bowl hero or let him walk away after this season? Is the age of 30 what scares you? Speaking of 30, that number didn’t scare the Atlanta Falcons from making Matt Ryan the first $30 million dollar a year Quarterback in the NFL. Matt is steady, durable and consistent. Would you say he is underrated as an NFL play-caller? While the Celtics are battling the Cavs for the Eastern Conference crown, the Sixers are thinking about their future. They will pick #10 and #26 in this year’s NBA draft, for now. Will they package the picks and move up? Could the Celtics use the #1 pick the Sixers sent them for Markelle Fultz to go out and acquire Kawhi Leonard? Fantasy Football is starting to heat up and the projections are starting to fly. ESPN came out with their Top 50 PPR players and when it comes to Tight Ends they have Gronk, Kelce, Ertz ranked in that order. Do you agree? Tweet The Sixers take Game 4 under the heroics of T.J. McConnell and now head to Boston. If they do not move on, do we have a right to be upset? Are we coddling our players and coaches too much? How did the Toronto Raptors get swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers? LeBron was on another level, but as the #1 seed getting blown out is unacceptable. Looking back, even the Knicks took the great Michael Jordan to 7 games. To not win at least 1 should cost Duane Casey his job, shouldn’t it? After a fairly quiet draft, the Eagles got some disturbing news that their DT Tim Jernigan will be out 4-6 months following back surgery. With journeyman Haloti Ngata next up on the depth chart, how much of an impact will it be on the D-Line? Big Ben Roethlisberger is a Super Bowl Champion, but seems to be irritated that the Steelers drafted Mason Rudolph to be the QB of the future. Is this just another case of a spoiled athlete? Tweet TRUST THE PROCESS…TRUST THE PROCESS…. The Philadelphia 76ers have taken the NBA by storm and are now advancing to the next round of the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2011/2012 season.  Has Brett Brown finally put the naysayers to rest? Why do the national media still give BC all the credit with no mention of Sam Hinkie? Are you a fan of trash talking in sports? Trash talking in the NBA, most notably in the Sixers/Heat series was on another level. This is a craft that is visible in all sports and begins at a young age. Who were the best trash talkers of all time? Speaking of the youngsters, youth sports have taken over the world and probably your life. In this day and age, everyone has to be on a travel team with the in-house programs left on the back burner. Has it spun out of control? If so, who is at fault and why? Don’t look now, but the Philadelphia Phillies have one of the best records in baseball and now have been picked to win the N.L. East. Where are all the Gabe haters now? Joel Embiid did what most athletes tend to do, go on IG and post his frustration. Should athletes think before they tweet? What did we do before Social Media was so dominant in our lives? How did we function on a daily basis? We now see that Hoskins and Kingery are special, but how about Franco? Are you ready to accept him for what he is? On those same lines, Vinnie Velasquez has been nothing short of inconsistent throughout his short career. When is it time to try him as your future closer? Tweet The Sixers are on their way to the playoffs with a specific destination in mind. From Embiid and Simmons to Marco and Ersan, everyone on this team has a role. Sam Hinkie started the Process and now it’s almost complete. Why do people still think the Process is/was flawed or unnecessary? Michael Jordan was the best player that ever lived. LeBron James is the best player to have ever played. Which one is it? Jordan had Pippen and Rodman, while LeBron had Wade and Bosh. Does it go by era and/or supporting cast? Speaking of eras, wasn’t the 90’s one of the best entertainment eras ever? From music to movies, the 90’s seems to always be on top. What was your favorite 90’s show? If you could bring one back from any era, what show would you pick for a reboot? As Spring weather moves in the Phillies bats are on the rise. After a spattering amount of boos at the home opener, is Philly warming up to Gabe? Is he too much of a data driven monster? The Flyers are in the Playoffs and facing a familiar foe in the Pittsburgh Penguins. Sidney Crosby will be the main focus of the players and the fans. As much as he is hated in Philadelphia, has there ever been another athlete hated more in this town? Tiger Woods stole all the early headlines, but it was Patrick Reed who stole the show. Tweet The Heat Ratio Episode 16 Villanova wins its 2nd NCAA Title in 3 years leaving Jay Wright as the only other active Coach besides Roy Williams and Coach K to pull off such a feat. Even though the Nova program does not get all the “1 and done” recruits, can they still be considered a PREMIER NCAA program? The Sixers are in unfamiliar territory and now the injury bug has decided to kick in just weeks before the playoffs. Fultz looks to be gaining more confidence and Simmons is showing why he is a gem. If Joel were to miss more time than expected, could they win a series without him? Will he be able to play with a mask? With all the noise surrounding the Eagles and their Super Bowl run people forgot to go deep inside the mind of Gabe Kapler. The Kapler experiment has begun in Philadelphia and Phillies fans don’t like what they see. From using a multitude of relievers to a revolving lineup, his decisions are thought to be suspect. Is he just following the trend of MLB or trying to create his own trend too soon? Don’t we have to give him a chance? Tiger Woods is ready to put his newfound stroke up to the challenge of Augusta. He, along with plenty of elder statesman, including Phil Mickelson, will be vying for that Green Jacket. Tweet Finally, the Sixers are gearing up for the postseason and their coveted #1 pick is ready to ride with them into the postseason. Markelle Fultz has returned and looks to be ready to contribute. Even with this excitement comes a litany of questions. How many minutes will he play? Will he disrupt the chemistry on the court? Is he the missing piece needed to go far into the playoffs? March Madness is beginning to wind down as the Final Four Championship games are upon us.  Amidst all the upsets and unusual plays, have you been satisfied with the tourney this year? Will Villanova win another NCAA title? Is Jay Wright undervalued at the national level? Will he ever jump to the NBA? With Opening Day 2018 right around the corner, the Philadelphia Phillies decided to be a trendsetter by signing Scott Kingery to a 6 year deal that could stretch to 9. This is a deal for a player who wasn’t even on the 40 man roster yet. Is this a smart move by the Phillies? How will the lineup play out? Can Scott be the ultimate utility player? Tweet Ah, a day in the life of the reigning Super Bowl Champions. Coming into this offseason, the biggest opponent of the Philadelphia Eagles was the cap. However, Howie and company showed the power to overcome the confines of a financial squeeze and come out ahead. Are the Eagles a better team now as constructed? The NFL offseason has become must see TV. With the new stress put on the trading market and constant release and resigning period always sparking up interest, organizational moves always seems to be plentiful. Kirk Cousins getting a guaranteed deal, Talib/Peters forming a dominant CB tandem we haven’t seen in years, McKinnon becoming Mr. Shanahan’s new toy and the Arizona Cardinals signing two underwhelming arms to throw the ball to Fitz. What move was most surprising to you? Can anyone say they have been disappointed in the NCAA Tournament so far? From UMBC’s improbable slaughtering of #1 Virginia to Nevada’s ridiculous comeback win against #2 Cincinnati, what have been your favorite moments so far? The National Pastime is just getting underway and the Phillies are looking to compete for a playoff spot.
