The Straight Shooters

Two of Philly's best covering pro wrestling now come at you LIVE EVERY WEEK with a brand new podcast!
Vaughn Johnson (Digital Platforms Producer for the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles) and Nick Piccone (Editor-in-Chief at PhillyInfluencer.com and the Pro Wrestling Contributor at PhillyVoice.com) talk about the good, the bad and the ugly in the world of pro wrestling, but they make it more entertaining than any other podcast you'll listen to! Joined 80% of the time by THE THIRD MAN Brian Isley (Author, Comedian and NBA Panel co-host with John Weatherspoon), the trio discusses not only the main stage in WWE, but also some of the independent companies making waves in the wrestling industry.
These guys don't just talk about what you see on television every week, they talk about some of their experiences in the industry, whether it be interviews, live shows, or simply just breaking news stories. Above all else, their fandom really comes across to the listeners as if they're sitting there right beside you having a casual conversation about wrestling.
One of the longest-running shows on Wildfire Radio, The Straight Shooters have had a plethora of guests since they've been on the air, such as WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and Paulsboro's own Anthony Bennett, who participated in 2016's WWE Cruiserweight Classic tournament.
They've also done live commentary shows of the 1992 and 1997 Royal Rumble matches, Halftime HeatTNA's Final Deletion match between Matt and Jeff Hardy, and Triple H vs. The Rock at Backlash 2000. You can also listen to their retrospectives such as the XFL episode, 20 years of Hell in a Cell,  the Montreal Screwjob, and remembering the career of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
